Urgent Care
Alpine Health provides an Urgent Care Service at each of its three main sites (Myrtleford, Bright and Mt Beauty) across a 24 hour period seven days per week. This service is provided for the treatment of conditions requiring urgent attention.
Attendance by a Doctor for all urgent presentations will be at the discretion of the on-call Doctor. In the absence of a Doctor, you may be treated by a Nurse or referred to another facility, depending on your urgent care needs.
All patients attended to by a Doctor within the Urgent Care Service, are seen as private patients of that Doctor for that occasion of care and will receive an account from the treating Doctors’ practice. Payment of this account is the responsibility of the patient.
The closest registered public emergency department with resident Doctors is at Northeast Health in Wangaratta and at Albury / Wodonga Health in Albury / Wodonga.
