Interpreter Services

Alpine Health has a duty of care in providing information to clients, patients and consumers that can be understood in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. This is achieved by working with? NAATI- National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd - accredited interpreters.

NAATI accredited interpreters will be engaged by Alpine Health staff at no cost for CALD clients, patients and consumers so they are able to communicate their needs effectively.

People, including family members and friends and young people, less than 18 years of age must not to be requested to act as interpreters, except in the case of an emergency where it is either impractical to engage the services of accredited interpreters, or attempting to so would cause undue delay leading to adverse clinical outcomes for the client.
