The Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a key member of Alpine Health’s clinical team. RN appointments plays an integral role in the day to day coordination of clinical care, while supporting the operational objectives of Alpine Health.
The RN will demonstrate a high level of skill in clinical practice, in accordance with the National Competency Standards for RNs.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse maintains the following primary responsibilities:

  •  Delivery of 24 hour, contemporary, evidence base nursing care nursing care in line with the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards:
    • Clinical Governance
    • Partnering with Consumers
    • Preventing and Controlling Healthcare-Associated Infections
    • Medication Safety
    • Comprehensive Care
    • Communicating for Safety
    • Blood Management
    • Recognising and Responding to Acute Deterioration
  • Fostering a safe and enjoyable work environment through positive work place behaviour and effective conflict resolution.
  • Person centred care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multi-disciplinary team

Position Requirements:

Essential:

  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration – Registered Nurse.
  • Advanced Life Support certified and completion of Alpine Health Standing Order Learning Packages or willingness to undertake within 3 months of appointment.

Desirable:

  • Nursing experience in rural communities

Note: All health and aged care workers are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
