Alpine Health have been celebrating and recognising the work of their volunteers with a series of lunches across the Alpine and Indigo Shires during National Volunteer Week 2023, 15 - 21 May.

The National Volunteer Week lunches kicked off in Mt Beauty followed by Bright, Yackandandah, Myrtleford and finishing up the week in Rutherglen, bringing together the different volunteer groups as well as staff and board members to discuss and celebrate the important contribution volunteers make to the delivery of services and quality of care at Alpine Health.

Sheila Young who volunteers her time with the Bright Hospital Op Shop said she volunteers because she enjoys ‘doing something for the community, having fun with the ladies, getting out of the house and the sense of community’ Sheila is pictured with her fellow Bright Hospital Op Shop volunteers Trish Flew and Lee-Anne Hawthorne.

Nick Shaw Alpine Health CEO said “I would like to sincerely thank the volunteers who support Alpine Health and recognise the work they do that enriches our community and encourage anyone who may be thinking about volunteering to get involved.”
