Board of Directors

Alpine Health is led by a Board of Directors, who contribute a diverse range of skills, experience, and interests for ensuring the efficient, effective and accountable governance of the organisation.

Through strategic leadership and a direction focussed on defined outcomes, the Board of Directors comes together:

  • To govern and improve the well-being of the organisation,
  • To protect and improve the health of the community; and
  • To improve access to, and delivery of, health services.

Directors are appointed by the Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Health.

Donovan Jacka (Board Chair)

Appointed October 2018

Grad Diploma of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, Grad Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution


Donovan Jacka is a Director and self-employed farmer and has been a senior manager within the health care industry for the last 15 years.

Phillip Bardsley-Smith

Appointed November 2019

Master of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Science


Philip has been responsible for the successful management of multiple community pharmacies and is currently a Pharmacy Proprietor in Mt Beauty.

 

David Leggo

Appointed July 2020

Diploma in Aviation, ASIC Regulatory Guide 146 qualified


David is an experienced Director and Chairman of large Superannuation Boards, Companies and Investment Committees.  He has additional long term experience as an Independent Chairman in Property Fund Unitholder meetings.

Kirsten Seeto

Appointed July 2020

Bachelor of Science,  MBA Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors


Kirsten is an experienced Digital Consultant and Committee member.  Her experience includes digital transformation projects in corporate blue-chip and start-up companies.

 

Emily Nightingale

CPA, Bachelor of Business (Accounting)


Emily is a CPA qualified manager specialising in Government Sector finance with experience working across alpine resorts and health services.  Emily is also an experienced Senior Manager reporting to Government Boards.

Rod Incoll

Appointed July 2021

BA Social Science, Grad Dip Bus, Dip Forestry


Rod is a Bushfire Risk consultant and a former chief fire officer for the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and has a background as a Lifeline counsellor in a previous location. 

 

Sarah Brindley

Appointed 1 July 2022


Sarah is the Director of Corporate Services at the Rural City of Wangaratta. With a broad background in operations, IT and people management across public, private and start-up sectors, Sarah is an experienced Senior Manager responsible for governance, risk and business continuity.

Gillean Hilton

Appointed 1 July 2022


Gillean is an Occupational Therapist and is the Regional Lead for the Disability Liaison Officer Program at Austin Health. Gillean holds a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy.  Her research has focused on people with spinal cord injury and returning to work. She also has an interest in care pathways for people with disability and complex care needs, in order to enhance the patient experience. 

Cameron Oxley

Appointed 1 July 2022


Cameron is a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in professional indemnity and directors & officer liability insurance litigation. For many years he represented Victoria’s public hospitals defending medical negligence claims. Cameron has a wealth of board experience as the Chair of St John Ambulance Australia and previous Chair of St John Ambulance Victoria. He is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is passionate about first aid and community service and has been a volunteer ski patroller for 25 years.
