Move to the Alpine Region

We are located in the heart of Victoria's high country and ski fields in North East Victoria, with three main sites located in the townships of MyrtlefordBright and Mt Beauty.

The Alpine region is an area that features national parks, Victoria's highest mountains, lakes, snow resorts, vineyards and a rich history including gold discovery, cattlemen and bushrangers.

We have Victoria's major snow and ski resorts including Falls Creek, Mount Buffalo and Mount Hotham on our doorstep. Outside of the snow season, these mountains provide a good location for bushwalking, horseriding, cycling, scenic driving and fishing.

With plenty of amazing things to see and do, it's easy to #lovethelife.

Housing

Holiday tourism can make long term rental properties harder to find. We suggest contacting local real estate agents as soon as possible as well as looking at RealEstate.com.au

Alpine Shire and Township Maps are available from Alpine Shire Council

Alpine Shire Council

The Alpine Shire Council provides services to residents, ratepayers, businesses and visitors.

The Alpine Shire is about 300 kilometres north-east of Melbourne and 70 kilometres south of Albury/Wodonga. The Shire covers 4,790 square kilometres. Approximately 92% of that land is public land, including parts of the Alpine National Park and all of Mount Buffalo National Park.
