The Role

Alpine Health is seeking to expand its Infection Prevention and Control team to assist to coordinate our infection prevention and control activities. We are seeking a part time (0.6 EFT) Registered Nurse – Infection Prevention and Control Officer for a limited contract through till June 2022 (with scope to extend).

The IPCO role is aligned to Alpine Health’s COVID-19 response team, comprising COVID-19 Coordination, COVID-19 vaccination, COVID-19 testing, and Infection Prevention and Control. The Infection Prevention and Control Officer will be responsible for Infection Prevention and Control at Alpine Health. The responsibilities of the role include the development, implementation and monitoring of work practice standards and policies, staff and contractor education, outbreak planning and management, surveillance and infection data analysis.  This role effectively contribute to overseeing and influencing frameworks of continuous quality improvement that effectively contribute to safe patient outcomes.

Position Requirements

Applicants are required to be COVID-19 vaccinated and have an Immunisation status consistent with Alpine Health Staff Immunisation Procedure, and hold a current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
