Benefits of using your private health insurance

At Alpine Health we realise that a stay in hospital can be a trying and stressful experience for our patients and their families. We are committed to providing the best patient experience in the region.

When admitted to an Alpine Health Hospital for a day stay (post procedure monitoring) or a longer stay, you can choose to be admitted as a private or public patient.

Regardless of your choice, all patients receive the same quality of treatment and range of services.

To be admitted as Public Patient

To be admitted as a public patient means:

  • You will be treated by doctors engaged by Alpine Health,
  • You will incur no costs from Alpine Health as a public in-patient

To be admitted as a Private Patient

Patients who choose to be admitted as a private patient and use their private health insurance will receive extra benefits. Alpine Health also benefits as your private health fund contributes additional revenue to Alpine Health.
