We are very pleased to announce the recipient of this year’s 2024 Bernece Delany Volunteer Award is Barbara Davie!
The Bernece Delany Volunteer Award commenced in 2014 and recognises volunteers who exemplify the generosity of volunteering and selflessly give their time to help others in the Alpine Health community. It is awarded each year during National Volunteer Week as a unique opportunity to say thank-you to our volunteers.
For over 30 years Barbara has been an active volunteer of the Bright Hospital Op Shop, including spending time on the committee and as president. Her contributions help the Op Shop to raise large amounts of money that they then donate to Alpine Health and other community groups.
Barbara’s fellow volunteers showed admiration for her efforts and shared the following praise:

“Over the years we have seen volunteers come and go. We have also been lucky to have volunteers who go beyond the norm. Barb Davie is one of these.”
