We empower people from all walks of life to take control of their diabetes and to live a healthy life.
What we do
Our qualified Diabetes educator provides support and advice to people with Diabetes within the Alpine Shire. Through individual appointments and in a group setting, we help you learn how to manage your diabetes and support you to make important lifestyle changes that will help you reduce tyour risk of diabetes-related complications.
Group nutrition education is delivered through the following programs:
Who we help
We provide a free service, with or without a referral, to people who will benefit from seeing a diabetes educator;
- People who have recently been diagnosed with diabetes
- If your diabetes control has changed and managing your diabetes has become difficult
How to access
You do not need a referral to make an appointment but we do suggest you speak to your GP first.
Contact your local GP clinic in Myrtleford, Mt Beauty, or the Alpine Community Health Centre (ACHC) located at the Bright Hospital to make an appointment.
