Alpine Health will also be visiting community groups and clubs throughout March and April to discuss the precinct plans.

Alongside state and federal local parliamentarians, Alpine Health is continuing to advocate to the State and Federal Governments’ on behalf of the community to fund the $40 million development to improve health care services provided in Bright.

The Bright Health Precinct will include a new aged care facility which can deliver the high level care mandated by the new reforms outlined in the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

The recent restructure to Alpine Health’s Community Care Program to improve working conditions for home care support workers and health outcomes for clients receiving in-home care services in conjunction with the new aged care facility will give our local residents a choice when it comes to their aged care.

The Bright Hospital will undergo a refurbishment and expansion to make space for the provision of a larger range of allied health and specialised services, whilst improving the amenity of existing acute based facilities.

The Hawthorn Village site will be repurposed to provide health education and accommodation for international students training as health care professionals, together with accommodating health care workers.

Over the next weeks the drop in sessions will provide an opportunity to have questions the community has surrounding the development answered and to have your say.

Nick Shaw Alpine Health CEO said “the Bright Health Precinct will have an incredibly positive impact on many aspects of the local community of Bright and surrounds.”

“Particularly for our aging community who will have access to high quality, safe and timely support and care which will foster an environment for them to age in a dignified and independent way and most importantly to age in place in their own local community.”

“Open communication with the community during the development of the Bright Health Precinct is a high priority for Alpine Health.”

“Drop by one of our discussions to get up to date on the developments and have any queries you may have answered.”
