Myrtleford & Community Hospital Op Shop have turned pre-loved treasures into a donation to Alpine Health Myrtleford for essential equipment upgrades in Dialysis and Urgent Care.

Dialysis received 4 new dialysis chairs. The new chairs adhere to new infection control measures and are very comfortable with useful extras such as USB ports for charging electronic devices and writing tables to keep patients entertained during treatment. Dialysis patients spend 4-5 hours per session up to 3 times per week and its important the chairs are comfortable and functional. Alpine Health is a satellite dialysis service for Melbourne Health and we also provide a ‘holiday chair service’ for visiting patients to the Alpine Shire.

Urgent Care upgrades included 2 new trolleys (beds). The new electronic beds are easy to adjust and move around and can be operated easily by a single nurse.

Thank you to our wonderful Myrtleford & Community Hospital Op Shop volunteers for the countless hours of work and their incredible generosity!
