Three new directors appointed to the Board at Alpine Health

Alpine Health’s Board of Directors provide leadership and direction for ensuring the efficient, effective and accountable governance of the organisation. With three clear goals of governing and improving the organisation, protecting and improving the health of the community, and improving access to and delivery of health services to the community.

On the 1 July 2022, Alpine Health announced the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors. This brings the number of board members to nine. Our three new board members are;

Sarah Brindley

Sarah is the Director of Corporate Services at the Rural City of Wangaratta. With a broad background in operations, IT and people management across public, private and start up sectors, Sarah is an experienced Senior Manager holding responsibility in governance, risk and business continuity.

Gillean Hilton

Gillean is an Occupational Therapist and is the Regional Lead for the Disability Liaison Officer Program at Austin Health. Gillean holds a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy.  Her research has focused on people with spinal cord injury and returning to work. She also has an interest in care pathways for people with disability and complex care needs, in order to enhance the patient experience.

Cameron Oxley

Cameron is a lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience in professional indemnity and directors & officer liability insurance litigation. For many years he represented Victoria’s public hospitals defending medical negligence claims. Cameron comes with a wealth of board experience as the Chair of St John Ambulance Australia and previous Chair of St John Ambulance Victoria. He is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has a passion for first aid and community service and has been a volunteer ski patroller for 25 years.

We are very fortunate to be able to add their broad range of experience and knowledge and their contributions will be invaluable to Alpine Health as we pursue our mission of improving the health and well-being of our communities.”

“I would also like to thank outgoing Board members Sarah Gamble and Jody Simmons for their contribution over the past three years helping Alpine Health respond to the many challenges the pandemic has presented ” he said.
