Alpine Health is pleased to welcome Matthew Stewart as a new member of its Board of Directors.

Matthew brings extensive experience in health education, governance, and clinical practice. He is currently Head of Examinations at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, where he leads assessment programs across Australia and New Zealand.

With a background as a registered nurse, paramedic, and senior manager, Matthew has held leadership roles in both the university and health sectors. He has a strong commitment to rural health and is passionate about improving quality, access, and outcomes for communities like ours.

Alpine Health also acknowledges the valuable contributions of outgoing Board Directors Donovan Jacka and Phillip Bardsley-Smith. Donovan, a former Board Chair, has provided dedicated leadership and strategic oversight during a time of growth and change. Phillip has brought deep experience and thoughtful insight to the Board’s governance and decision-making processes. We sincerely thank both for their service and commitment to the health and wellbeing of our communities.

We look forward to Matthew’s contribution as we continue to strengthen health services across our communities.
