Residential Aged Care
Alpine Health has three residential aged care facilities in Myrtleford, Bright, and Mt Beauty located in the alpine valleys of North East Victoria. These facilities form part of the overall Alpine Health Multi-Purpose Service. Our facilities provide for a range of care needs to permanent and respite residents in single room accommodation.
As a Multi-Purpose Service, we are able to deliver a flexible mix of services to meet the community’s health and aged care needs. This means that as a person's health needs change over time, provided the services are available and appropriate, Alpine Health can respond to those needs as they move in and out of the different services we provide across Acute (Hospital & Urgent Care), Home Support (alpine@home, indigo@home, and NDIS) and Residential Aged Care.
In delivering our residential care, per the current Aged Care Act (1997), and Aged Care Nursing Standards, we strive to provide a home-like environment, with our professional and caring staff that meet the community needs and expectation.
We acknowledge and support the ongoing need for the involvement of family and friends in our endeavour to maintain a desirable lifestyle whilst maximising independence and dignity in a safe, person-centred environment.
Alpine Health has adopted a Montessori approach in our aged care environments. The Montessori model of person-centred care encourages a home like atmosphere which provides flexible activity programs focusing on people's strengths, abilities and interests.
