Hawthorn Village Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary in Style

On Friday 26 May Hawthorn Village held a celebration for residents and staff to commemorate 30 years since the Bright aged care facility opened its doors. The evening included a high tea style dinner for staff and residents provided by Riverdeck Kitchen. During the celebration residents and staff shared stories, sang songs and enjoyed a slice of the beautifully decorated cake made by Lisa Birchin in the specially decorated dining room at Hawthorn Village.
Hawthorn Village staff organised personalised gifts for residents who each received a tea cup with their name on it and a commemorative certificate. Special guests attending the celebration were longest serving member of staff, Rosie who has worked at Hawthorn Village for 24 years and the resident who has been living at Hawthorn Village for the longest, Thelma who has been a resident for 18 years.
