Today marks the commencement of the 1st intake of the Alpine Institute Diploma of Nursing. The Alpine Institute Diploma of Nursing will deliver a local pathway into nursing, allowing our local people to stay in the area and receive a post-secondary nationally recognised qualification.
Alpine institute and Bright Hospital Op Shop have had a relationship since the inception of the Institute over 5 years ago, providing financial support to ensure the availability of facilities and equipment to meet industry standards including the redevelopment of the multipurpose room, upgraded computer equipment and first aid mannequins.
Bright Hospital Op Shop again answered Alpine Institutes request for support and donated $150,000 to the development of the clinical learning environment for Alpine Institute students to complete their studies. The clinical learning environment is used for the Diploma of Nursing but is also well utilized for international graduate nurse education, certificate III and IV based courses and ongoing staff training and education with a total of 500 students coming through in the next 12mths.
The Bright Hospital Op Shop contributes significantly to the work of the Alpine Institute and the development of the Alpine Health current and future workforce.
