Thank you frontline

30 September 2020

frontline

11 year old Smoko resident, Grace Tomasoni wrote a poem to all the front line workers to show her appreciation for all their hard work this year. Grace is the daughter of Martin and Nikki Tomasoni.

Lisa Lukey, Registered Nurse and acting Nurse Unit Manager at Bright said " it’s fantastic to see local young people like Grace being aware of the roles front line workers play in the community.

We are very grateful for the communities ongoing efforts to keep the Alpine area COVID free.

As we see more people moving around the state, it’s more important than ever for the community to remain vigilant by wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing and washing hands"

Thank You Front Line

Nurse

To the great nurses,

Who put up with the worst of us.

They are stoic,

But more so heroic.

They’ll even smile, despite feeling a curse.

Police

To the wonderful police,

Who just want to make peace.

You keep us safe, from the bad people.

Keeping us safe, from all the illegal .

You ensure the violence does cease.

Fire fighters

To the tough firefighters who fight.

You saved my life, on a deadly night.

You risked your life for others.

We hope you don’t suffer.

You saved my hometown of Bright.
