Cancer Wellness and Exercise Program
Alpine Shire residents affected by cancer will have access to a comprehensive survivorship education, exercise, and wellness program developed by the Cancer Council and delivered in partnership by Alpine Health and Equilibre Health.
The free ‘Cancer Wellness & Exercise program’, provides people who have finished their cancer treatment with one-hour group exercise sessions delivered by experienced exercise physiologists. The group exercise session is followed by a short education session each week.
This local 6-week program can assist you to:
- Increase your fitness and strength
- Perform daily tasks
- Learn how to cope with life now
- Connect with others
You will get the opportunity to participate in exercise sessions and to share stories and tips with others going through a similar experience.
